Dumped trailer, 7th February

There is a trailer full of rubbish that has been dumped on Nelson street in front of the retirement home. It's taking up one of the free car parks. It's been there for over 6months.

St marks turns left going up hill, 2nd February

For a number of years residence in the apartment buildings beyond St Mark's Road have assumed that their driveways a part of Saint Marks Road and therefore they have driven very fast without looking as they actually cross into or out of St marks rd. Very dangerous. They need a give way or stop sign!!

Thank you for the opportunity to attend this well presented forum. I gather you noticed that the majority of guests who aired their views were all about road, parking, re-application for license (85++) problems and no issues regarding travel on public transport because we simply cannot get on a train and travel without having to use stairs or escalators. The buses are difficult because they are hard to get on board and rarely stop at convenient locations e.g. St Vincent's Hospital. Ferries are easy to travel on from Rose Bay but to get there by public transport is a nightmare almost impossible for aged people. Please give this some thought. A bus running from Bondi Beach along Curlewis Street and onto O'Sullivan Road would be a blessing for aged people to enable them to use the ferry service to the city. Christine Jones

Parking & lack of public transport, 4th August

The Avenue has only apartment blocks, no houses, most of the blocks have no parking facilities. Woollahra Council has a car park for the sporting events which the residents are not allowed to use any longer than 1hr in the winter months (football). Parking permits are allocated 1 per unit but there is no public transport available other than to Circular Quay via the harbour & Kings Cross or from Edgecliff then a train or a ferry to Circular Quay. Woollahra Council knowing all the complaints re available parking in the street gave permission to build Cranbrook School and take over the playing fields in the area. They also have sporting events every weekend and training during the week (evenings). The parking in the street is used by the visiting teams. Now they have introduced a Communal Garden which also requires heavy vehicles, personal parking etc and there is not enough car space for the residents of the area. When there is an event e.g. circuis in Lyon Park the people attending ask where is the nearest available parking and they are referred to our streets. The ferry commuters are also referred to park in our streets. When will this council even give consideration to the residents of Rose Bay Garden Estate and why won't they build a car park and/or install public transport. Suggestion: Put a continuous running bus on running from the ferry wharf to bondi beach which will free up parking in both areas and enable ferry commuters living off O'Sullivan and Curlewis Sts to easily get from Bondi to the ferry and vice versa. Ferries are a very comfortable way for aged people to travel because they are usually on flat levels and the gangways are wide and short.

Mirror Needed at Intersection, 30th April

Harris St is a narrow sloping ramp with cars parked along one side constantly and only 2 driveways to move into to avoid oncoming traffic coming out of Elizabeth St which is a blind corner. When turning right out of Elizabeth St if confronted by a vehicle coming from Harris St one has no alternative than to reverse into Elizabeth St. However depending on the speed of either vehicle this is often very sudden & dangerous even for cyclists. Perhaps a mirror at the "No through Traffic" sign would solve this problem.

Bellevue rd from double bay to bellevue hill, 3rd December

The state of condition from fairfax rd intersection to rivers st intersecion is deplorable and has been for years the surface of the rd is very rough. I recently experienced open heart surgery and the journey down from Rivers st to Fairfax rd was excruciatingly painful due to the terrible surface of the rd. I have never complained about the state of the Road before as I have known about it for years, but due to the operation it became self evident that this stretch of rd, about 1 km is in desperate need of a resurface.

Pothole on road: safety issue, 10th November

There has been a pothole on the edge of the road outside 43 Derby Street for quite a while now. It needs to be fixed as someone will get out their car and break their ankle. With each bout of rain it gets bigger.

Crosswalks at Fiveways intersection, 23rd October

The crosswalks are located too close to roundabout intersection creating a hazard because driver attention is distracted to negotiating the round about conditions and traffic flow instead of more focus ahead on approaching crosswalk. Also by having a turn out of the roundabout the location of crosswalks in relation to driver ie. 9 - 11 O'clck position is an unusual location for sighting pedestrian traffic ahead and the car bodywork of the side windshield frame is inconveniently in location further obstructing view. At night the crosswalks are I adequately lit The crosswalks and bus stops should be located much further away / ahead of the roundabout vicinity Council has been notified about three months ago with request to acknowledge receipt of hazard report no resonate from council still to date. Very shabby.

Litter, 22nd June

Piles of rotting litter have been building up in the gutters on the eastern side of Hopetoun St for more than a year and council does nothing about it. Broken glass, bottles and food containers.
