Pedestrians crossing inappropriately

Pedestrians cross against the red light, single people and flocks of students. The traffic is held up and I have observed numerous near misses. Something needs to be done to prevent an injury. Further to this cars turn left from the right lane on railway street entering Hawkesbury road because of the number of people crossing on the green light for cars. People become frustrated and try and get through the lights by going around on the right lane turning left
