For 2 decades I've lived here and seen our Progress Assoc do everything it can to see this intersection improved. Surveys, guest speakers - Councillors, research consultants, MPs. Nothing. Accidents continue. They all seem to just wait for a developer to pay. At least put 1 Speed Camera Ahead sign north of the intersection. Over the time my son was born and is now driving to uni every day, not quite awake, rushing to get a park there. I live in dread.
