Trees overhanging the road

Along Canberra Avenue somewhere between the Monaro Highway and Eyre St, where I turn off, there are giant old trees overhanging the road. This is not a problem to cars, but I followed a really tall truck and it had to drive up the centre of the road to avoid the branches on each side. Perhaps some trimming could prevent this.
