School crossing required

I would like to know the procedure to take to request a pedestrian crossing being made for the school children of St josephs catholic high school. This is an extremely busy main road and because there is a major bus stop the whole length of the school the parents have to drop their children off on the opposite side of the road. This is extremely dangerous at the beginning and end of the day as parents make u turns and nearly run over the kids crossing the road. There is a crossing outside of the public high school that is 2 to 3 kilometers down the road and this is way too far away. No matter what school our children attend they all deserve the right to be safe. It would be very much appreciated if this matter could be resolved. Thanks for your time.
